We are adding something new and exciting to our jewelry collection. Elabloom is introducing Mala Jewellery. First created in India 3000 years ago, mala beads have deep roots and rich history in Hinduism, Buddhism, and yoga. The term ‘mala’ is the Sanskrit word for “meditation garland.” Originally, mala beads were used for a unique type of meditation called Japa, meaning, “to recite.”
Malas, whether they are in the form of a necklace or bracelet, are used for keeping count while reciting, chanting, or mentally repeating a mantra. These ‘guru’ beads are traditionally used for meditation and prayer and are the newest trend in wearable yoga gear. Each charm or bead style is said to carry various properties, energies, and meaning.
